This is probably wishful thinking, but if the immunities are kicking in against extreme political leanings, hopefully we end up somewhere more centrist that allows and appreciates nuance.  not hard to see how the far left & right are easy to fear-monger against and cause the polarizing divisiveness we have today.

Appreciated the ending note here on finding nuanced solutions to complex problems.

The question I struggle with is: how to create room for nuance and testing in the context of short election cycles? 

It’s so much easier for politicians to point uncompromisingly in one direction - they look weak to TV audiences if they don’t know the right answer to everything off the top of their head.
