The US is kind of unique in taxation of their expats. Was kind of afraid that things will go the other way, other countries also adopting this US policy. But we just might see it going away in the US?

Although don't really trust that Trump would keep his words and change this policy if elected.

This wasn't on my bingo card!  Mr. Trump's proposal to remove the carried interest deduction aligns him with the aims of Democratic lawmakers.  Will it happen?   He's getting pushback from Wall Street, with the trade group American Investment Council urging the new administration to preserve the tax break.
