Should I cash out on Nvidia?
I bought a lot of nvidia several years ago and currently have a thousand shares. My portfolio has multiplied In value several times. Seeing how nvidia is near its all time high, I’m wondering if now should be the time I cash out and run. I’m worried about the possibility of a recession and stock market tanking within the next 6 or so months. Anyone else have nvidia and did you cash out? It’s a big choice to make and would like a little input. Thank you.

Nvidia to build AI factories at home: Remember when Nvidia boss Jensen Huang argued that in the future, large data centers running AI workloads would become the factories of the future? His argument was that the massive compute clusters would generate tokens, each of which will have a discrete element of economic value. Good news, if you are American that is. Nvidia intends to build some of its current-gen Blackwell chips in the States, and the aforementioned AI factories. Details are a scarce, but if you wanted more domestic compute capacity, here you go!
Production will start at a TSMC factory in Arizona and a Wistron factory in Dallas within the next year and a half, Nvidia said.

While Nvidia scrambles to assess the damage, Huawei Technologies is ready to pounce. 

The Chinese company’s Ascend processors provide strong performance and ecosystem support in artificial intelligence (AI) computing, according to Gao Chengfei, director of consulting firm Tiaoyuan. 

Huawei also recently launched a new AI infrastructure architecture that is reportedly set to rival Nvidia’s offerings in addressing computing power bottlenecks.

The CloudMatrix 384 Supernode was described as a “nuclear-level product” that matched Nvidia’s NVL72 system, Star Market Daily reported on Monday, citing unnamed sources from Huawei.

Huawei is said to be collaborating with Chinese AI infrastructure start-up SiliconFlow to use the CloudMatrix 384 Supernode to support DeepSeek’s R1 reasoning model. The move suggests that Huawei’s system, using Chinese-made chips, has achieved the performance of Nvidia’s H100 chips – which are unavailable in China due to US curbs

Nvidia’s China business is evaporating.

The US chip giant on Tuesday disclosed that Washington would now require a licence to export its H20 chips to China. The company expects the move to cost it US$5.5 billion, which includes charges for inventory, purchase commitments and related reserves.

The H20 is a graphics processing unit tailored for the Chinese market after earlier export controls imposed by the administration of former US president Joe Biden. While the H20 is less powerful than Nvidia chips sold outside China, it is still good enough for training and running large language models (LLMs). 

Nvidia’s China business was likely to “fall to nearly zero”, Morningstar analyst Brian Colello said in a research note. “We don’t foresee a turnaround any time soon.”

Sales are up 78% and still rising as the company remains at the center of the AI accelerator race. Nvidia anticipates $43B in Q1 revenue, plus or minus 2%. That’s around 65% year-over-year growth. All eyes are now on the company’s next-gen AI processors, known as Blackwell.
